Tricolour rally marched, by the students of P.G. College.
Chamoli: On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, a tricolor rally was organized at every house in Government Post Graduate College, Gopeshwar on Sunday.
Volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS), Rovers Rangers and Youth Red Cross Cell participated in the rally.
The rally started from the college campus and ended at the bus stand.
Addressing the rally, Senior Program Officer Dr. Vandana Lohani called upon every citizen of the city to hoist the tricolor flag as a symbol of national unity in their homes.
Under ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ National Campaign by the volunteers, Amrit Vatika was constructed in Ganjeshwar temple complex Kunjo Maikot in the memory of the brave martyrs of the country. In which 75 different types of local fruit plants were planted. Rovers Rangers in-charge Dr. Jagmohan Negi said that the memories of martyrs of country should not forget and we can make alive the memory forever by planting trees.
