Heavy rains red alert of two days for eight district of the state.
Dehradun: Meteorological center Dehradun, once again expressed the possibility of heavy rains for two days across the state. Director of the Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said, on August 23 and 24, a red alert has been issued for rain in eight districts of the hill state, Tehri, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar. There, there is a yellow alert for rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Almora.
He said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in all the areas across the state during these two days. At the same time, life has been affected due to rain at many places for the last two days. Along with this, the incidents of landslides have also increased. Schools will remain closed in five districts
In view of the red alert for rain, a holiday has been declared for all government and private schools from class 1 to 12 in Haridwar, Tehri, Dehradun, Bageshwar and Nainital on Wednesday, August 23. Along with this, there will be a holiday in all Anganwadi centers as well.
