Mangal Seminar organized in Gopeshwar College

Chamoli: A seminar on traditional Mangal singing was organized in the Government Post Graduate College Gopeshwar on Thursday. Under the theme of EPC, the self-financed B.Ed department, has organised a seminar, the subject of folk art and culture.

After the seminar, a Mangal workshop was organized, in which the entire wedding scene was staged and traditional Mangal songs were taught. Principal Prof. Kuldeep Singh Negi said that along with studies, students should also try to preserve their culture, folk art, tradition and language.

Program coordinator, Head of Department of B.Ed Department, Dr. Ramakant Yadav said that for the personality development of B.Ed trainees, such events are organized under EPC in which programs are organized to preserve local folk art and culture.

Deepika Semwal and Hemchand, conducted the Mangle seminar workshop, the performance of Ambika in the role of bride and Divyanshu Semwal in the role of Pandit was highly appreciated by the guests. Along with this, the students wore traditional costumes and played the roles of parents, siblings, maternal uncles, uncles, aunts, uncles etc. in the workshop very well. At the end of the program, various types of local dishes of Uttarakhand were served to the guests.
