B.Ed students performed street play on voter awareness.
Chamoli: A street plays on various social topics were organized at Government Post Graduate College, Gopeshwar on Wednesday. The trainees of B.Ed first year, organized a program on the role of drama and art, in which participants staged street plays on contemporary topics like voter awareness, mobile addiction, migration, education, health, freedom etc.
Prof. Swati Negi, rincipal in-charge of the college and Head of the B.Ed Department, said that this event was organized to show the importance and use of drama and art for the development of professional skills in the training of B.Ed. He further said that during drama activities, students get to experience different roles, which are useful to their teachers in life.
In the street play based on voter awareness, the participants called upon the young voters to compulsorily include their names in the voter list and vote in the upcoming elections.
In the end, Principal in-charge Prof. Swati Negi administered the voter awareness oath to all the participants.
