Review meeting chaired by secretary of language dept of state govt.

Chamoli: Secretary of Language Department of Uttarakhand, Vinod Prasad Raturi chaired a review meeting regarding development works with all the departmental officers in Chamoli district on Monday. During this, he reviewed the progress of the schemes run by the Central and State Government and also discussed important issues related to the development of the district.

Secretary has directed to the officers to speed up development works through convergence of schemes with mutual coordination. He said that development is a gradual and continuous process. Development works should be taken forward by assessing the work done in the past years and keeping in mind the needs of the future. He directed that the works conducted under Jal Jeevan Mission should be completed as soon as possible. Prepare proposals for construction of parking in urban areas.

Under adventure tourism, projects should be prepared for river rafting, paragliding, fish angling. Promote home stay. To increase agricultural production, irrigated agricultural area should be increased. Maximum facilities should be provided to the farmers by converging the schemes of Agriculture, Horticulture and Fisheries Department with MNREGA and other schemes. So that the income of farmers increases due to increase in production. Reviewing the works conducted under UREDA, the Secretary said that a concrete action plan should be prepared to increase green energy. During this, while reviewing the schemes of education, health and rural development, the Secretary also took information about the vacant posts under various departments. District plan, state sector, centrally funded and twenty-point programs were also reviewed in the meeting. The Secretary said that the government will be informed about the suggestions given by the departments related to the schemes. An explanation was sought from the Namami Gange Project Officer as he was not present in the meeting.
