Govt’s schemes have counted under the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ to the local people.
Chamoli: A program was organized under ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Municipal Council Gopeshwar on Thursday. The departmental employees gave detailed information about the public welfare schemes of the government to the local people. The public representatives appealed to the eligible beneficiaries who were left out of all the schemes to avail the benefits of the schemes by making good use of the Yatra.
The program organized at Gopeshwar Bus Station on behalf of Municipality Gopeshwar was inaugurated by BJP State Working Committee member Raghuveer Bisht by lighting the lamp, information about government schemes was given through the digital vehicle of Sankalp Yatra. During the program, employees of health, food supply, municipality, women empowerment and child development, horticulture, animal husbandry and other departments informed the citizens about the schemes through stalls.
Chief guest of the program Raghuveer Bisht said that the Central and State Governments are running schemes to provide a better life to even the last person of the society. In such a situation, Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been organized to deliver the benefits of the schemes to the deprived people. Villagers should make good use of the journey and take advantage of the schemes. During this, Municipality Executive Officer Sudhir Kumar also administered oath to the people present in the program to make it a developed nation by the year 2047. Cultural programs were also presented by self-help groups during this period. Aakriti, Aradhana and Anjali stood first, second and third in the quiz competition organized during the trip.
The health department conducted health check-up of 21 people in the camp and distributed medicines and also made 18 Ayushman cards and 21 Abha cards. During this period, Aadhar cards of 11 people were also updated. The Municipality filled the application of one beneficiary while distributing Ujjwala gas connection to five beneficiaries and the Food Supply Department to two beneficiaries under the PM Swanidhi Scheme.
