For the rehabilitation of 79 disaster affected families, Rs 339.75 lakh sanctioned in Chamoli district.
Chamoli: Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana, a meeting of the District Level Rehabilitation Committee was held on Tuesday, regarding the displacement and rehabilitation of disaster affected families in the district.
Approval was given to release an amount of Rs 1.08 crore as the second installment for the displacement and rehabilitation of 48 families of five disaster affected villages of the district and an amount of Rs 1.31 crore for the displacement of 31 families of Pangarh village. The District Magistrate directed the concerned SDM to ensure electricity, water, connectivity and other basic facilities at the rehabilitation places of the affected families.
The second installment of funds has been approved for displacement and rehabilitation, among the 48 families, out of that 31 families of Kanol village under Tehsil Nandanagar (Ghat), 03 families of Gwad village under Tehsil Karnaprayag and 05 families of Badgaon under Tehsil Tharali. 03 families from Kalyadi Tok of Suna village and 06 families from Bainoli village are included. An amount of Rs 96 lakh was earlier allotted to all these 48 families as the first installment.
Whereas 30 families of disaster affected Panagad village under Tehsil Tharali are to be displaced to private land and 01 family to revenue land. Approval has been given to release a lump sum amount of Rs 1 crore thirty one lakh seventy five thousand at the rate of Rs 4.25 lakh per family for the displacement of 31 families of Panagad village. An amount of Rs 4.25 lakh per family is given for displacement and rehabilitation of the affected families. In which Rs 4 lakh will be given for building construction, Rs 10 thousand will be given for displacement allowance and Rs 15 thousand will be given for construction of cow shed.
