There would be more than five thousand upgradation of Mini Aanganwadi in the state.

Dehradun: The approval of 5115 mini Anganwadi centers of the state upgradation has been received from the Central Government. Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya said, after the upgradation of these centres, 100 percent mini Anganwadi centers in the state will be upgraded. And more than five thousand women will get employment as assistants.

Minister, Arya said, a proposal for upgradation of Mini Anganwadi Centers was sent by the State Government to the Central Government in last year 2023. Its approval has been received in the new year, which is a big gift from the Central Government for our Anganwadi sisters in the state.

The minister said, upgrading of these mini centers will empower Anganwadi sisters. The government is continuously working to strengthen the Anganwadi sisters. Earlier, the honorarium of Anganwadi centers was increased by the government. There are 20067 Anganwadi centers and more than 35 thousand Anganwadi workers and assistants in the state.
