Former CM Harish Rawat has had a silent fast over cut power supply at rural areas.
Dehradun: Harish Rawat, the former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, observed a fast of silence over irrelevant power cuts and charging of arbitrary rates in rural areas of Haridwar district on Friday. He said, my fast of silence is for those victims who are victims of the negligence of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited.
Former CM Rawat has observed a fast of silence at his residence in dehradun, and said, UPCL is harassing poor families in rural areas of Haridwar in the name of electricity theft, and also arbitrary rates of electricity are being collected by department. In rural areas, power cuts are being cut for several hours for every day, due to which people are troubled.
