Garhwal MP and former CM, turned up to observe 75th republic day in district Chamoli.

Chamoli: India is going to observe it’s 75th “Republic Day” with great pomp and joy. In district Chamoli Uttarakhand, the republic day has celebrated with the spirit of national unity, integrity, secularism and communal harmony. Flag hoisting was done in all government, semi-government offices and educational institutions.

District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana hoisted the flag in the Collectorate premises and administered the oath to the personnel to surrender to national unity, integrity and the Constitution of the country. He inspired the officers to perform their duties with full devotion and work together in the spirit of charity. The District Magistrate said that by working together in the economic and social fields, we can move towards equality. On this occasion, remembering the sacrifices of the immortal martyrs, tributes were paid by laying wreaths at the martyrs’ memorials.

The grand celebration of the country’s 75th Republic Day took place at Police Ground, Gopeshwar too. In the Republic Day many function organized at Police Ground, Gopeshwar, the chief guest, Garhwal MP and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Tirath Singh Rawat inaugurated the program by hoisting the flag. Contingents of police and NCC personnel took out a spectacular military parade along with the police band and saluted the chief guest. The cultural programs of school children and the developmental tableaux of Police, Fire, NDRF, Disaster Management, Education, Industry, Horticulture, Agriculture and Health departments were the center of attraction.

India is moving towards becoming a world leader. In the year 2047, when we will be celebrating the centenary of independence, our country will be a developed nation and will be the leading nation in the welfare of the entire world in the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. During this, the chief guest honored 16 people under the Good Samaritan category who helped the victims of road accidents. Along with this, the soldiers who did excellent work in the police department were also honored with citations.
