Martyars and Father of Nation have paid tributed observing two minutes silence.

Chamoli: In all government and semi-government offices, on January 30, two minutes silence was observed at 11:00 AM in the district Chamoli, in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the country’s freedom struggle.

All activities and work were stopped and silence was observed in the memory of the martyrs. All the senior officers and personnel in all tehsil and block offices of the district including the District Office have two minutes silence and at Vikas Bhawan, observed two minutes silence on the death anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to preserve the freedom. Countless brave women sacrificed their lives in the freedom movement. Today, all those martyrs, known or unknown, were also paid tribute in silence and a pledge was taken to build a prosperous nation by adopting the ideals and moral values established by the martyrs and by giving top priority to the national interest.
