Annual sports festival for two day has started in Gopeshwar College.

Chamoli: In the P.G.College Gopeshwar, 49th annual sports festival has started on Thursday. The Students are enthusiastically participating in the various sports organised here.

Prof. Kuldeep Singh Negi, principal of College, inaugurating the function, said that for the overall development of personality, participation in sports along with studies is very important.

Sports Secretary and Program Coordinator Dr. Lalit Tiwari said that sports competitions like long race, relay race, long jump, high jump, tug of war etc. will be organized in the two-day long sports festival.

Rohit got first place in 800 meter boys race, Manohar in long jump and Anup in high jump held on the first day of the annual sports competition. Whereas in 800m girls race, Kareena and Ganga got first place. The chief guest awarded the winners with medals.
