Make best efforts to increase voting percentage in the election – DCE Officer.
Chamoli: Mukta Mishra, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer has visited Chamoli district on Saturday and reviewed the preparations for the parliamentary elections with all the nodal officers of district. Special attention should be paid to the voter awareness program to increase the voting percentage in parliamentary elections, she added.
The Deputy Chief Electoral Officer has also said that by increasing contact with voters through BLOs, voters should be motivated to vote on April 19. Easy arrangements should be made for disabled and elderly citizens to reach the booth. Personnel deployed on election duty should ensure 100 percent voting through postal ballot and EDC. All possible efforts should be made to ensure that no voter is left behind.
She asked to paste necessary information at the polling booths, proper management of communication system at booths in shadow areas and provide a certificate after completing the trial run at booths with webcasting during the election. She said that PDMS personnel should be trained to monitor the polling activities. PDMS app should be installed in the mobile of all presiding officers. Booth health management plan along with health kit must be kept in the bag of every presiding officer. FST, SST, VST teams should be activated. Notice should be issued on complaints received on C-Vigil and prompt action should be taken. She also reviewed the liquor and cash seizures and law and order situation so far.
