Oldest man of Uttarakhand, 135 years old are listed in voter list of parliamentary election.

Nainital: Swami Parmanand Puri is the only voter for parliamentary election whose age is 135 years. I’m not only in Uttarakhand but also in the whole worlds oldest voter, Swami Puri claimed.

He says that restrained life, discipline and food habits are the secret of his long life. On Monday, Amar Ujala talked to the oldest voter on many issues. Here is the answer- I have my voter ID, which has been issued by the Election Commission. In the voter ID his age is shown as 124 years on 01-01-2013. In the voter list his EPIC number is APG022676, name Swami Parmanand Puri age 135 years, father’s name Swami Vishnunand, Guniyalekh is recorded. I got my entire education in London.

After completing my MD-MS from Oxford University, London in 1919, I came to India and in 1920, I took charge as the District Health Officer in the Health Department at Nainital. After working for ten years, I renounced all worldly desires and took sanyaas in 1930 and since then I have been leading the life of a saint.
