CM Dhami has chaired a meeting of increasing forest fire in Uttarakhand.

Dehradun: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, reached Haldwani, held a review meeting with officials at FTI regarding prevention of forest fires and drinking water arrangements. Kumaon Commissioner, Forest Department officials etc. are present in CM Dhami meeting. The officials from other districts including Almora, Champawat joined virtually.

The forests of Tehri, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts of Garhwal division are continuously blazing. Due to mostly pine forests, the fire is spreading rapidly. Forest workers are engaged in extinguishing the fire. If the fire is extinguished at one place, it flares up at another place.

The fire in the forests of Kumaon is becoming raging. The help of Air Force helicopter was taken to extinguish the fire in the forests of Nainital. The work of filling water from Bhimtal lake and pouring it in the forests has started.
