For two-day, an international seminar has started at Govt P.G College, Gopeshwar.
Chamoli: Under the joint aegis of the Department of Economics and the Council of Socioeconomic Development Studies, Uttar Pradesh – Uttarakhand (ASED), the seminar is organized that started Saturday.
Inaugurating the seminar organized on the topic of ‘India to Developed India’, the chief guest, Vice Chancellor of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Prof. NMP Verma said that the resolution of making a developed India will be fulfilled only through the economic progress of the country. Therefore, more and more economic sources will have to be created.
As a special guest, Joint Director of Uttarakhand Higher Education, Prof. Anand Singh Uniyal said that for the creation of a developed India, a sense of national interest will have to be developed in every citizen of the country so that he can do every work in the name of the nation.
The keynote speaker of the inaugural session, Professor S.P Singh of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee said that the path to a prosperous India will be found only by creating agriculture based small industries. Therefore, the young generation will have to work in the direction of technology-based agricultural production, fruit production, vegetable production and milk production, only then economic prosperity will reach every home.
Prof. Kuldeep Singh Negi, Program President, Principal of Gopeshwar College, said that organizing such international seminars in remote areas of the mountains area of the state will boost the morale of the local people.
The convener of the seminar, Prof. Vinod Srivastava, elaborating on the objective of the seminar, said that the Char Dham Yatra has a special significance in the economy of Uttarakhand and the pilgrims should get better facilities at the government level.
In the program, former Vice Chancellor of Avadh University, Prof. PK Sinha was honored with the Gyan Ratna Award for excellent research writing in the field of economics.
