Harela festival have observed by the students of B.ed department.

Chamoli: The students of B.ed department have planted many plants on the occassion of Harela festival (a local festival) Monday at the Government Postgraduate College Gopeshwar Chamoli.

Addressing the students, the head of the department, Prof. Amit Kumar Jaiswal said that there is a deep connection between man and nature, towards which there is an extreme need to be sensitive today. On this occasion, after the cleanliness was carried out in the departmental campus by the trainees, fruit and shade trees were planted.

Prof. Jaiswal, further said that even in today’s modernization environment, the contribution of the state of Uttarakhand is leading in the direction of rivers, bugyals, glaciers and nature conservation and in this direction, Dasholi Gram Swaraj Mandal Gopeshwar, Padma Shri Chandi Prasad Bhatt, Padma Shri Kalyan Singh Rawat and his Maiti movement, Gaura Devi and Mahila Mangal Dal are also playing their leading role.
