Debris fell on an old house, One dead and one injured of Nepali origin.

Chamoli: Heavy rain has taken the life of a person, and left one injured when debris fell on a old dilapidated house. The injured has been sent to the community health center with the help of 108 at Joshimath.

Rakesh Bhatt, incharge police post Marwari, said that he got informed at around 1.30 am that some people of Nepali origin live near the Marwari post, who are reported to be buried. Police force and SDRF were dispatched from the police station. Deceased M Bahadur 35, and injured Dinesh Bahadur 22.

After to information, 108 was also informed. A rescue operation was carried out on the spot and two people were taken out with the help of JCB. One of these people died on the spot. While the other injured person was sent to the community health center with the help of 108.
