A Pickup vehicle met an accident, three dead and left four students injured.

Kotdwar: A tragic road accident took place on Tuesday in Kotdwar, district Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. A pickup vehicle lost control and fell into a ditch near village Ranihat on the Rasiya Mahadev- Takulsari- Maithanaghat motor road. Three people including the driver died on the spot in this accident, while four school children were injured.

According to the information, the pickup vehicle was going from Bhatwada of Nainidanda towards Bandarkot of block Bironkhal, suddenly the vehicle lost control and fell into the ditch around 2:30pm. The vehicle was carrying students of Inter College Lalitpur who were going to their home after school, along with three other people including the driver. When the vehicle fell into the ditch, three people lost their lives, while four students were injured.

The injured school children are being treated at the Community Health Center Bironkhal, where their condition is said to be stable. This incident has sent a wave of mourning in the area.
