Abduction of mother Sita has staged in Ramlila, women power made emotional.

Nandprayag: Ramlilas are being staged in many villages, cities and towns of district Chamoli, these days. In this sequence, on the seventh day of Ramlila staging in Nagar Panchayat Nandprayag, Rawan’s sister, Shurpanakha’s nose has cut, and his younger brother Khar-Dushan’s killing, Ravana-Marich dialogue, Lanka’s King Ravana in the guise of a saint and mother Sita’s abduction were staged.

On this occasion, Marich’s character was played by Hemant Kathait, Khar-Dushan by Durga Singh Rautela and Kuldeep Rautela, Shurpanakha by Suraj Bisht, Gajraj Rawat Ravana and Jogi Ravana by Raman Chauhan.

When the scene of Sita’s abduction by Ravana by deceit was enacted on stage, the women power got emotional. The tremendous acting of the characters acting on stage made it seem as if Mother Sita was really crying for help in a helpless state from the knave devil Rawan.

On this occasion, tribute was paid to late Mumtaz Farooqui. His wife Rashida Farooqui was felicitated from his family. Farooqui had performed live as the character of Mama Marich for many years. And now the next day, Ram-Hanuman meeting and Bali-Sugreeva battle is to be held in Ramlila.
