CM directed the sinior officals to organised a committee for road accident safety manuals.

Dehradun: Holding a meeting with senior officials, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has directed the officials to prepare a road accident safety manual. He gave these instructions in view of the seriousness of the horrific road accident that took place in Marchula and the capital Dehradun recently.

For this, he has asked to constitute a committee of experts and experienced people. It is believed that after the formation, the committee will prepare a draft of the road accident safety manual and submit it to the government.

He expressed concern over the increase in the number of road accidents day by day in the state, and said that every possible effort should be made at the government level to prevent road accidents. There should be such measures so that accidents can be prevented. According to sources, the committee will be formed soon, which will include experienced officers from many other departments including Transport, PWD, Police, Disaster Management, Health.

In the meeting, the Principal Secretary R.K Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police, AP Ashuman and Vice President MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari were present .

The Chief Minister also have cognizance of the complaints of opening liquor shops and bars overnight in many areas of the state including the capital. He said, in a very strict manner, liquor shops and bars should be open only till the stipulated time, and strict action should be posed against those who ignore the rules. For this, he gave instructions to keep constant monitoring, during night patrolling, investigation should be done with alcometer and action should be taken against over speeding. Arrangements should be ensured keeping in mind all aspects related to public safety.

Chief Minister Dhami directed to run fixed wing aircraft from Dehradun to Gauchar and Chinyalisaur. He directed to complete the tender and all other formalities for operation soon. It was told in the meeting that the process of doing EOI for aircraft operation from Dehradun Airport at Jolly Grant to Chinyalisaur and Gauchar has started.
