All officers and employees took a pledge of loyalty to the Constitution on Constitution Day

Chamoli: The district Officers and employees of all government institutions of Chamoli, the border district of Uttarakhand, took a pledge of loyalty to the Constitution of India on the occasion of Constitution Day.

Sandeep Tiwari, District Magistrate, has congratulated the officers and employees on Constitution Day by administering the oath of loyalty to the officers and employees in the Collectorate premises. The District Magistrate said that along with protecting the fundamental rights given by the Constitution, we should also promptly follow the fundamental duties. He said that it is everyone’s responsibility to protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the country. It is also the responsibility of all of us to maintain peace, harmony and social harmony in the country while keeping loyalty and respect for the Constitution. During this, an oath was taken to follow the Preamble of the Constitution and discharge one’s responsibilities and duties with full loyalty and honesty while adopting, enacting and dedicating oneself to the Constitution of the country.


Every year 26 November is celebrated as National Constitution Day. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India. After this, it was implemented on 26 January 1950.
