A Seminar organized at P.G. College on the literature of Nobel Prize winner Han Kang.



Chamoli: A seminar was organized on Wednesday in the Government Post Graduate College Gopeshwar. In the seminar organized by the English Council, a seminar was organized on the various dimensions of the literature of this year’s Nobel Prize winner for literature, South Korean writer Han Kang, on her 55th birthday.

Prof. Darshan Singh Negi, program coordinator of the English Department at the college said that Han Kang’s literature forces readers to ask uncomfortable questions and look into the depths of human existence. The main speaker of the seminar, Dr. Digpal Kandhari said that Han Kang’s writings have a unique blend of compassion, introspection and rebellion, which enriches modern literature.

On this occasion, in the speech competition organized in the college, students expressed their views on literature. Kanishka Danu got first place, Shrey Rawat got second place, Aryanshikha got third place, while in the poster competition, Kanishka got first place and Sheela got second place. The winners were felicitated with certificates and trophies by college administration.
