Pokhari fair concluded with prize distribution.

Chamoli: Seven-day Himavant Kavi Chandra Kunwar Bartwal Khadi Village Industry Fair held at block Pokhari, district Chamoli, Uttarakhand, on the last day of the fair as a chief guest Rajya Sabha Member, Mahendra Bhatt and former Kedarnath MLA Manoj Rawat have participated.

The fair committee and Badrinath MLA Lakhpat Butola welcomed the chief guests by offering them clothes and souvenirs. The Rajya Sabha Member and MLA felicitated the women’s team of village Rauta for their mythological dance and the students of Inter College Raduwa for their beautiful presentation of Gurudev dance.

Chief guest Rajya Sabha Member, Mahendra Bhatt congratulated all the officials of the fair committee and the residents of the area for the successful organisation of the fair. He said that the organisation of the fair leads to the exchange of culture. New talents get a chance to emerge through sports and cultural programmes in fairs. Mahendra Bhatt also announced to give Rs. 10 lakh for the construction of lawyers’ building under the tehsil.

MLA Lakhpat Butola said Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt has always done many commendable development works for the development of Pokhari area. He said that he is thankful to all the public representatives, women, youth and the government administration for the cooperation they gave for seven days. During this, the MLA demanded from the Rajya Sabha MP to construct a building for the sitting arrangement of lawyers in Pokhari Tehsil and construction of Sera Malkoti motor road and improvement of Polytechnic Pokhari building.
