ADM has flagged off facilitate travel vehicle for disabled.

Chamoli: Vivek Prakash, Additional District Magistrate district Chamoli, flagged off the Sugam Yatra for disabled on Friday. The Additional District Magistrate said that the Divyang Rath (disabled vehicle)will travel throughout the district.

Disabled people will visit religious places, tourist places and public buildings of the district. Through which, all the problems faced by disabled in coming and going to these places and working will be analyzed. And in future, a plan will be made keeping all these things in mind.

In line with the instructions of the Government of India for the development and easy access of disabled, the District Social Welfare Department will today take 10 disabled people from the district headquarters on a tour of the District Library, Shaheed Memorial, Government Offices and Gopinath Temple in the Sugam Yatra for disabled. The disabled persons were also given information about the schemes run by the government.

The objective of the Accessible City Tour Programme for disable is to discuss the accessibility norms available for the persons with disabilities in public places like Government buildings, Municipal offices, Cinema halls, Tourist places, Libraries, Markets etc. and to help in understanding the ground reality of accessibility issues so that this information can be shared with the actual decision makers and planners so that they can incorporate it in their urban policies, designing and developmental strategies.

अपर जिलाधिकारी विवेक प्रकाश ने शुक्रवार को कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर से दिव्यांगजनों की सुगम यात्रा को हरी झण्डी दिखाकर रवाना किया। अपर जिलाधिकारी ने कहा कि दिव्यांग रथ पूरे जनपद में भ्रमण करेगा। दिव्यांगजन जनपद के धार्मिक स्थल, पर्यटक स्थल व सार्वजनिक भवनों को भ्रमण करेंगे। जिससे दिव्यांगजनों को इन जगहों पर आने-जाने, कार्य करने में क्या क्या समस्याएं आती हैं उन सभी बातों पर विश्लेषण किया जाएगा। और भविष्य में इन सभी बातों को ध्यान में रखकर योजना बनायी जाएगी।
        दिव्यांगजनों के विकास तथा सुगम्य पहुंच हेतु भारत सरकार के निर्देशों के क्रम में जिला समाज कल्याण विभाग द्वारा दिव्यांगजनों की सुगम यात्रा में आज जिला मुख्यालय से 10 दिव्यांगजनों को जिला पुस्तकालय, शहीद स्मारक, सरकारी कार्यालयों व गोपीनाथ मंदिर का भ्रमण कराया जाएगा। वहीं कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर में दिव्यांगों को सरकार द्वारा चलायी जा रही योजनाओं की जानकारी भी दी गयी।
     दिव्यांगजनों के सुगम्य शहर भ्रमण कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य दिव्यांग व्यक्तियों के लिए सरकारी भवनों, नगर पालिका कार्यालयों, सिनेमा घरों, पर्यटन स्थलों, पुस्तकालयों, बाजारों आदि सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर उपलब्ध सुगम्यता मानदंडों पर चर्चा की जाए और सुगम्यता के मुद्दों की जमीनी हकीकत को समझने में मदद मिल सके, ताकि यह जानकारी वास्तविक निर्णयकर्ताओं और योजनाकारों के साथ साझा की जा सके, ताकि वे इसे अपनी शहरी नीतियों, डिजाइनिंग और विकासात्मक रणनीतियों में शामिल कर सकें।
