Development works in the summer capital area of the state was discussed in the review meeting.

Chamoli: Sandeep Tiwari, District Magistrate Chamoli has held a review meeting regarding the development of infrastructure and essential facilities in the summer capital area. The proposals prepared by various departments were discussed.
The District Magistrate directed all departments to prepare an action plan for the next 25 years. He directed PWD to prepare a proposal for expansion of inspection building and dairy to upgrade Simli milk plant. He directed UPCL to prepare a proposal for undergrounding of electrical wires, Education Department to prepare a proposal for library in Gairsain and Nagar Panchayat and Drinking Water Department to prepare a proposal for rain water harvesting.
In the the meeting he has also directed the Block Development Officer to prepare a proposal for the drainage system of the city and beautification of the city and to get the government buildings and shops colour coding done. He directed the Irrigation Department to prepare a proposal for protective walls of the rivulets of Khansar Valley damaged by the disaster and Agriculture and Minor Irrigation to prepare a combined plan for water conservation and irrigation.
District magistrate Tiwari, asked Agriculture and Horticulture to focus specifically on hydroponics technology and floriculture. A proposal for a state-of-the-art hospital at Bhararisain was made by the Medical Department, for which the District Magistrate directed to make a revised proposal by including X-Ray, ventilator, ECG and other essential resources in the hospital, as well as to make a proposal for a transit hospital. To make a proposal for a growth center on the theme of House of Himalaya, in which branding and packaging of local products can be done. Along with this, instructions were given to the NH to repair the Simli Karnaprayag road and to repair and clean the damaged drains under the NH in the district.
