CDO has given guidelines for prevention of dengue and malaria, in view of mansoon season.

Chamoli: Chief Development Officer, Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, directed the in-charges of all the hospitals of the district that all dengue/malaria related medicines, mosquito nets, test kits and other materials should be arranged in time in all the hospitals of the district very soon.
Chief Development Officer also directed that the places where dengue larvae are breeding in urban areas as well as rural areas should be identified and destroyed and extensive publicity should be done among the public.
All the medical officials have also directed to take action by co-ordinating with other departments at the block level, and guidelines should also be issued in schools which should include guidelines related to cleanliness and complete uniform.
In the meeting, Dr. Abhishek Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, gave a presentation and informed about the dengue situation block wise. He informed that 25 isolation beds have been made in the hospitals of the 9 development blocks of the district, which can be increased as per the requirement, an ELISA testing machine has been installed in the district hospital Gopeshwar for confirmatory test of dengue.
All the blocks of the district have the necessary medicines for prevention of dengue and rapid test kits for investigation, are working smoothly. All the blocks were directed to complete the preparations in time from now on in view of the spread of dengue disease in the coming months. ASHAs have been directed to go door-to-door to prevent the breeding of dengue larvae and to speed up publicity.
