Voting would be held on announced day, only in emergency re-polling date put on – state EC.

Dehradun: State Election Commission of Uttarakhand has clarified Monday that there has not been made any change in the voting dates in the three-tier Panchayat elections in the state.
Panchayat elections will be held in two phases on 24th and 28th July 2025 as per announced date. The Commission said that if voting is not held at any polling station or booth due to natural disaster or any other emergency situation, then the dates for re-polling have been announced for such a situation only.
The letter of the Commission issued on 20 July 2025 is also related to this, which has nothing to do with the change in the dates of voting. The Commission has appealed to the voters not to be in any confusion regarding the dates of voting. The Secretary of the Commission, Rahul Kumar Goyal has clarified that in the event of no voting at any polling station or booth on 24 July 2025 in the first phase, re-polling will be held on 28 July 2025.
Similarly, if this situation arises on the polling day of 28 July 2025, then re-polling will be held on 30 July 2025 at the concerned polling station or booth. If necessary, re-polling will be held from 8 am to 5 pm. Counting of votes will take place on 31 July 2025 as per the scheduled programme.
