Four dead and many are missing due to cloud burst at village Dharali, Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi: Around at 1:30pm according to the local time, on Tuesday, a cloudburst at village Dharali of district Uttarkashi, there was a massive flood in Kheer ganga (river) that destroyed many hotels and residential hoses at Dharali market. And district administration has issued helpline number.

Prashant Arya, district magistrate Uttarkashi has told that four people have died in the Dharali disaster so far. While many people are reported to be stuck under the mountain debris and are missing. As soon as the flood of water came towards the village, people started screaming. Water and debris have entered many hotels, and Dharali market has been completely destroyed. Many hotels and shops have been destroyed. Army solders and Harshil Police and SDRF team has left for Bhatwadi, affected place and continuing rescue work.
In today’s morning, about one and a half dozen goats swept away Kud Gadera (rainy river) at Banaal Patti of Uttarkashi Badkot tehsil area. There was chaos due to Kud Gadera overflowing, according to the information.
Director of Meteorological Center Rohit Thapliyal said, there is a possibility of heavy rain across the state till August 10. There is a possibility of heavy rain especially in the mountainous areas. And due to the possibility of heavy rain, schools remained closed in Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri and Haridwar on Tuesday as well, keeping in view the safety.
CM Dhami expressed deep sorrow over the heavy loss caused by cloudburst in Dharali Uttarkashi area. The State Emergency Operations Center has received preliminary information about cloudburst in district Uttarkashi. The Uttarakhand Disaster Management Department has requested the Government of India to provide two MI and one Chinook helicopter for relief and rescue operations.
