Chamoli: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp in Chamoli, during this, various patriotic and cultural programs were organized in all the urban and rural areas of the district. A tribute was paid to the freedom fighters by hoisting the flag in government, non-government offices and all educational institutions.
On the occasion of Independence Day in Chamoli, Prabhatpheri (morning rally) was run out by school students, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers at various places. In the program organized at the District Magistrate’s office in the district headquarters Gopeshwar, the guard of honor was given by the police personnel.
District Magistrate, Sandeep Tiwari hoisted the flag. And a program also organized during this time, he said that the country got independence after a long struggle, after which every Indian also made efforts at his own level for the progress of the country, as a result of which today India has been able to join the leading countries in the field of technology.
Today work efficiency is improving with new technologies, in such a situation, everyone has to associate themselves with technology and develop their efficiency and contribute to the development of the country. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Karmayogi portal to connect the country with technology. Through which everyone can easily connect with technology and acquire new information district magistrate added. In the organised program, he rewarded school students for their better performance in various fields, and also distributed chocolates to the school children who came to participate in the program.
After the program, the District Magistrate reached Shaheed Park (martyr park )located in Kund Colony and paid tribute to the freedom fighters and the brave martyrs who lost their lives in various wars. He also participated in the plantation program organized by the Forest Department on Gopeshwar Bypass Road and planted a fruit tree.
