District panchayat’s first meeting went over, six committees constituted.

Chamoli: At the district headquarter Gopeshwar, on Saturday, first meeting of the Zila Panchayat Chamoli was held under the chairmanship of newly elected Chairman Daulat Singh, and other members including Vice Chairman Laxman Singh. The meeting was conducted by Additional Chief Officer Tej Singh.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman, Vice Chairman and all the members were welcomed and the officers and employees introduced themselves in front of the House. Additional Chief Officer presented the information about the working system of the District Panchayat through PPT.

In the meeting, 06 committees of the District Panchayat were unanimously constituted – Construction Committee, Water Management and Diversity Management Committee, Planning and Development Committee, Health and Welfare Committee, Education Committee and Administrative Committee.

The proposal was also passed to declare the old vehicle unusable for the use of the Chairman and to purchase a new vehicle and to get the office building and camp accommodation repaired. During the session, the House passed a resolution by voice vote to declare the disaster in Tharali and Nandanagar area as a national disaster affected area too.
