Student Union Elections notification has Released at P.G.College.

Gopeshwar: The notification for the 2025 Student Union Elections has been issued at the Government Postgraduate College, Gopeshwar. Principal Prof. MP Nagwal, issuing the notification, stated that student union elections will be held for a total of six positions.

Chief Electoral Officer at P.G.College, Dr. Jagmohan Singh Negi stated that direct elections will be held for the posts of President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, and University Representative. For this year, the posts of Treasurer and Joint Secretary have been reserved for female students.

Dr. Negi further stated that the sale of nomination papers for the elections will start on 22 September, and nominations on 23 September, the withdrawal of nominations on 24 September, the scrutiny of nomination papers, and publication of the list of valid candidates. And vote will cast on 27 September, and the winning candidates will be announced and sworn in after the vote count on the same day.

Earlier, a meeting was held with prospective student candidates under the chairmanship of Principal Prof. MP Nagwal, in which the Principal stated that the student union election process will be conducted in accordance with the recommendations of the Lyngdoh Committee.
