Food and legal service authority issued notice to traders, don’t have licence.

Chamoli: The joint team of Legal Services Authority and the Food Safety Administration have inspected the Chamoli market and instructions were given to traders regarding the disposal of expired goods.

In the view of the upcoming festive season in district Chamoli, the Food Safety Administration is regularly inspecting shops to ensure consumer safety. On Friday, a team from the Food Safety Administration, led by Secretary of the Legal Services Authority, Puneet Kumar, inspected the Chamoli market.

Amitabh Joshi, Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety, stated that during the inspection in Chamoli market, a notice was issued to a trader who was found to be without a license. The trader was instructed to obtain a license immediately. During the inspection, the team thoroughly inspected sweet shops and other food items in the market. The team instructed traders to market quality goods and ensure the disposal of expired goods.
