District Magistrate inspected motor road, and Instructed PMGSY officials to expedite work by increasing manpower.

Chamoli: Gaurav Kumar, District Magistrate Chamoli has conducted a surprise inspection of the 8.77-kilometer Selang Salur Dungra motor road in the block Jyotirmath (Joshimath) on Friday. And directed PMGSY officials to expedite work increasing manpower at the working spot.

During the inspection of the road, he directed PMGSY officials to increase manpower and ensure the road is safe and operational by May 2026. He also directed them to coordinate with villagers to expedite work by closing traffic on the road as needed, cutting through two dangerous sections of the road, and ensuring adequate safety measures in accident-prone areas. The concerned Assistant Engineer of PMGSY stated that the road would be repaired by May.
