Drunken youth shot his own friend on chest, got critically injured.

Haldwani: During drinking alcohol, a hot argument took place between two friends in Anandpur village of Haldwani. The matter escalated so much that one friend shot the other on the chest Saturday night. The injured youth is said to be in critical condition.

The youth has been referred to Bareilly after first aid treatment, the police have identified the accused and raids are being conducted to nab him. According to the police, 16-year-old Vedant is originally from Nepal and currently lives in Dehradun. He is friends with a youth living in Anandpur village, that’s why he came to his friend’s house 15 days ago.

It is being told that Vedant and his friend had an argument over something during drink, it led to a fight. The friend shot Vedant on the chest with a pistol and fled from the spot. The other youths brought him for first treatment.

Vedant has been referred to Bareilly hospital as his condition was critical. Police Inspector Umesh Kumar Malik said that the bullet hit the young man on the right side of his chest. The accused has been identified, and teams are conducting raids to arrest him.
