Cleanliness week has inaugurated by District Judge in the district.

Chamoli: Under the leadership of District Legal Services Authority President, District Judge Dhananjay Chaturvedi at the district headquarters Gopeshwar,  special cleanliness awareness campaign was conducted on a large scale in the entire Chamoli district on Sunday, under cleanliness week campaign.  District level officers, members of the Legal Services Authority, advocates, self-help groups, NCC, NSS students, teachers, environment friends, social workers,

Organization and people’s representatives carried out cleanliness campaign on a large scale by doing shramdaan along with cleanliness awareness rally in the city area.  During this, people were also made aware of cleanliness through street plays.  Under the cleanliness programme, saplings were also planted in Upper Negwad, Mandal Y Pass and various areas of the municipality after extensive cleaning by Shramdaan.  Cleanliness week program concluded at District Panchayat Auditorium.

District Judge Dhananjay Chaturvedi inaugurated the cleanliness program by offering flowers on the picture of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the Gopeshwar District Court, premises and administered the oath of cleanliness to everyone.  Along with this, students, dignitaries, environment friends and self-help groups, who actively participated in the Cleanliness Week program, were honored by giving prizes and certificates.

District Judge said that special cleanliness week was organized from June 12 to June 18, 2023, under the aegis of the High Court of Uttarakhand, with the cooperation of all, including the district administration, social organization, school children have participated and contributed.  He said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to keep the environment clean.  We should continue the cleanliness campaign continuously in our life, and wet and dry waste should be separated and disposed of through environmental friends.  He said that cleanliness is not the work of any one organization, but everyone should work with awareness in it.
