Congress party has extended working committee with 99 members.

Chamoli: On the instructions of District President Mukesh Negi, at the District Headquarters Congress Office, on his behalf, after the approval of State President Karan Mahara, a press conference was held by Anand Singh Panwar, Senior Vice President of the District and in-charge of the District Headquarter on Saturday.

The newly formed District Congress Executive was announced in the district. The newly constituted executive, equality of all areas/sections of the district has been kept in a proportional approach in which after the approval of all the block/city units and after the consent of the senior leaders, seniors, youth, tribal, tribal women etc. sections have been given a place in the executive.  In this 23 Vice President, 5 Executive General Secretary, 19 General Secretary, 38 Secretary,
A total of 99 member executive have been formed, including 7 spokespersons, 1 treasurer and 5 social media in-charges. Senior leaders including district MLA, former MLA, district panchayat presidents, city panchayat/municipality presidents, block heads, district panchayat members, PCC members, all district presidents of subsidiary organizations  has been made a special invitee.
