On Harela festival 200 plants have planted at village Dungri.

Chamoli: Harela festival was observed with great zeal at the forest site of village Dungri on Sunday. Divisional Forest Officer Kedarnath, Forest Division Gopeshwar, Divisional Forest Officer Badrinath, range Forest Officer and entire staff of forest departments Gopeshwar, Municipal President Gopeshwar, and the women groups (mahila mangal dalo) of many nearby villages, have planted more than 200 plants of various species on this occasion.

The women groups have started Harela festival with local folk songs and pledge to conserve forest. The festival Harela ( festival of greenery) basically celebrated to planted new plants and make aware people about environment and covered barren land with tree plants. Social Worker, Sunil Nathan Bisht and many other dignitaries from various departments of district and people from many villages were participated in this festival program.
