One died and two injured in a car accident.
Nainital: A vehicle of forest department, fell into a 50 meter deep gorge due to dense fog on the road to Nainital Bhawali on lat night Saturday around 10PM. The driver died in the accident while two forest workers were injured. One light injured was sent home after treatment at BD Pandey Hospital.
Forest Department’s vehicle was on the way Bhawali to Nainital, lost controlled near the pines and fell into the ditch. Passengers informed the police about the vehicle falling. Police and fire brigade team reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. The driver and two other forest personnel were injured in the car. He was taken out of the ditch and sent to the hospital with the help of 108. Doctors at BD Pandey Hospital declared driver Narayan, a resident of Oak Park, Mallital, dead. The injured Rajendra Verma and Devendra Kumar have been discharged after treatment. Dr. Hashim Ansari, posted at BD Pandey Hospital, told that Narayan Singh had a head injury. He had already died before being brought to the hospital. After the condition of the other two improved, they were sent home.
