Ex servicemen felicitated on 75th Amrit Mahotsav of independence.

Chamoli: A splendid program organised at village Kathud on Saturday, on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of 75th independence, flag hoisting, tree plantation and ex-servicemen were felicitated, ex-servicemen Subedar Yashpal Singh Bisht, Bhagat Saklani, Shishupal Bhandari and Birendra Singh Bartwal etc. were felicitated by the people of Gram Panchayat Kathud.

When all the retired soldiers of the village reached the venue in their army uniform, all the villagers started cheering for the soldiers. Addressing the villagers, Sadhna Bisht, Village Development Officer, said that the honour of the soldiers is the very biggest movement of pride to all of us, we are safe because our soldiers are on duty day to night at the boarders to protect us. Village head, Lakshan Kanwasi, Village Sarpach, Mahila Mughal Dal President, Panchayat members of the area and all the villagers were present in the program.
