Chaoli: On the occasion of National Sports Day, Badminton match was organized at Government Post Graduate College, Gopeshwar on Tuesday.

Vijay Joshi and Manoj won the title match by defeating Ripudaman and Dinesh in a hard fought match in boys double category.
In the girls’ doubles category, Jyoti and Lakshmi became the winners while Saloni and Suchi were the runners-up.

Principal Prof. Kuldeep Singh Negi, awarding the winner said that at present there is a good career in sports. That’s why interested students should work hard in their favorite sports. Special guest in-charge District Sports Officer Jaibir Rawat said that Major Dhyanchand has been the Indian ambassador of sports worldwide and young players should take inspiration from his life.
