Statment of senior leaders over the Haldwani violence.

Haldwani: A violence broke out after demolition of illegal encroachment in Banbhulpura area of Haldwani. Local people pelted stones at the Municipal Corporation and the police team.

Harish Rawat expressed concern
Former CM Harish Rawat has expressed concern over the incident of arson and violence in Haldwani. Harish Rawat said that Haldwani has always been a symbol of love, brotherhood and harmony, it is unfortunate that such an incident happened there. In such a situation, if peaceful Haldwani is boiling then it is a matter of deep concern. Harish Rawat has appealed to all the people to maintain peace and harmony.

Stone pelting and arson started. In which more than 300 policemen and corporation workers were injured. In this matter, local MLA Sumit Hridayesh has appealed to the people to maintain peace, while on the other hand, Harish Rawat has expressed concern over the incident. He has been informed about the entire incident, all the administrative officers, policemen and local citizens who have been injured and casualties in this act, my condolences are with their families. I appeal to all the residents of the city not to pay attention to any kind of rumors and contribute fully in maintaining peace.
