Uttarakhand will get 18 new helipad soon.
Dehradun: To promote tourism and pilgrimage in the state, new helipads are going to be built in many districts including district Chamoli. Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has invited proposals to build helipads at all these places under the new helipad policy.
The condition for this is that the land of the helipad should be at least 1000 square meters.
According to the information released by UCADA, under the Uttarakhand Private Helipad and Heliport Policy 2023, helipads can also be built on private land. There should be at least 1000 square meters of land for the helipad, whose length and width should be at least 30-30 meters. There should be 10 thousand square meters of land for the heliport, whose length and width should be minimum 50-50 meters.
The person applying will also have to provide proof of ownership of that land. After connecting these 18 places with air services, while the way to reach famous temples will be easier, it will also become easier from the tourism point of view. In
