An online seminar was organize at Govt P.G College, Gopeshwar
Chamoli: Department of Economics has organized an online seminar on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great statistician and founder of the Indian Statistical Institute and Padma Vibhushan awardee Professor Prashant Chandra Mahalanov.
Addressing the online seminar, at Govt P.G College Gopeshwar, the keynote speaker, Professor Alpana Srivastava of Amity University, Lucknow, threw light on the life of Mahalanov and said that no research work is possible without statistical data. Therefore, it is necessary to preserve the data of every event.
In this one day online lacture, the program coordinator and Economics Department in-charge Dr Shivkumar Lal said that public welfare policies can be made only by proper analysis of the data of development schemes.
