Within one and half month 6309 tourists visited the Valley of Flowers.

Chamoli: World famous valley of Flowers that has located in district Chamol, various kind of flowers are starting blossom over there these days.

To see the glimpse of beautiful sight of nature and colours of flower the tourists are turning up there. The valley has become full of different species of flowers now a day. So far this year, 6309 domestic and foreign tourists have visited the valley, there is a hustle and bustle of tourists in the valley these days.

There are more than 300 species of Himalayan flowers bloom every year in the Valley of Flowers, which has been included in the World Heritage by UNESCO too. Flowers bloom here from mid-June to mid-August and in such a situation, Himalayan flowers of various species have bloomed in the Valley of Flowers these days. V.V Martolia, DFO (division forest officer) of Nanda Devi National Park, said that the Valley of Flowers was opened for tourists on 1st June this year. After which till date, 6,247 Indian and 62 foreign tourists have visited the valley. He said that in view of the influx of tourists this year, more number of tourists are expected to reach the valley than in the past years.
