Various cultural programs organized on 78th Independence Day in the P.G College Gopeshwar.
Chamoli: Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp in Government Post Graduate College Gopeshwar on Thursday.
Dr. Manish Dangwal, in-charge principal, after hoisting the flag, said in his address that today is the day to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters our country. He said that every citizen of independent India has to work with dedication and honesty in his field of work, this will be our true tribute to the martyrs.
Program Celebrator Dr. D.S Negi, while reading the message of the Director of Higher Education, called upon the professors and students of the Higher Education Department to provide ideological leadership to the society. Nodal Officer of Anti-Drug Cell, Dr. Manish Mishra, has administered the oath to the youth not to take drugs.
To celebrate Independence Day with pomp, the volunteers of the Music Department, B.Ed. Department, NCC, NSS and Rovers Rangers of the college made the atmosphere patriotic by singing patriotic songs and performing patriotic dances.
