Two day inner college badminton compition has initiated at P.G.Collage.
Chamoli: Two-day inner-college badminton competition of Sridev Suman University Badshahithol has started in govt P.G.Collage Gopeshwar from Friday.
Paramjit Singh Bisht, Chief guest Olympic player, said that at present various types of sports are being established as a career for talented players. Therefore, the younger generation should acquire proficiency in any one sport of their choice.
In-charge of the program president of P.G.Collage Gopeshwar, Dr. Manish Dangwal said that by participating in sports, discipline and team spirit develop. Dr. Lalit Mohan Tiwari, convener of badminton competition said that teams from thirteen colleges and institutes are participating in this competition, in which mainly Government College Gopeshwar, Dakpathar, Doiwala, Purola, Agastyamuni, Kotdwar, Karnprayag, Jaspal Rana College, D.D. Institute Dehradun, H.E.C. Group of Institutions, B.S.I. Roorkee, I.T.M.
The players of Dehradun are participating in the men’s and women’s cadre. Sports Director Dr. In the men’s doubles cadre, the first match of the competition was between Ashwani and Aditya of Purola and Ayush Dimri and Mohammad Rizwan of Jaspal Rana College, in which Jaspal Rana College won. Gopeshwar Mahavidyalaya was the winner and Rishikesh campus was the runner-up in the women’s team game. In the men’s team game, Jaspal Rana College Dehradun was the winner and Kotdwar College was the runner-up.
