Heavy rains yellow alert issued for 7 district of state.
Dehradun: Once again, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in seven districts for the next 24 hours. According to the department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Bageshwar, Champawat and Pithoragarh of the state. Light rain may occur in other districts.
Few days backs heavy rai and cloud burst in many places in the state, even yet 323 roads are closed due to debris due to landslides in various areas. During this, only 126 roads could be opened in a day. PWD Chief Engineer Deepak Kumar said that the closed roads are in the state at present 12 state highways, seven main district roads, nine other district roads, 135 rural roads and 160 PMGSY roads. He also informed that 264 JCB machines were deployed for the work of opening the roads.
