Strict Security for UKSSSC Exam: district admin Tightens Grip Across 18 Centres

Chamoli: Authorities in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, have rolled out sweeping security measures ahead of the UKSSSC Graduate Level Eligibility Examination scheduled for Sunday, on June 14.
District Magistrate Gaurav Kumar has appointed all centre administrators as Special Executive Magistrates, granting them powers under the Civil Security Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure to maintain law and order inside examination venues.
A total of 18 centres have been set up across Gopeshwar, Nandprayag, Karnaprayag, and Gauchar. Within a 200‑metre radius of each centre, Section 163 of the Civil Security Code will be enforced to ensure smooth conduct and prevent malpractice.
The exam will run from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with officials stressing that strict monitoring and emergency powers are in place to guarantee a fair and peaceful process.
