For inspection the preparation of Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra, DM visited village Nauti.

Chamoli: Sandeep Tiwari, District Magistrate of district Chamoli, Uttarakhand, on Saturday visited the famous Nauti village in connection with the preparations for the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra. The District Magistrate started the tour by praying at the ancient Ufrain Devi (Aparna) temple and Nanda Devi temple located in Nauti village and wished for the happiness and prosperity of all the villagers.

He also met the local villagers and inquired about the traditions, beliefs and preparations related to Nanda Devi Raj Jat. The villagers shared many important things about the historical importance of the Yatra and local co-operation. The District Magistrate assured the villagers that the district administration is fully prepared to make the Yatra safe and well organized.
